How pathetic are these money saving ideas? Re-using papertowels.
Reusing trash bags.
Putting a half drank glass of water in the fridge for later
Keeping frozen food items outside in the winter and unplugging the freezer
Sneaking candy into the movie theatre
Getting up in the middle of a kickass movie to get a free refill on pop
Gorging on free sample food items at the grocery store
Stealing packets of sugar from starbucks
Diluting milk with water |
The ones I think are awesome are
free samples.. I mean, that's not necessarily money saving.. I just don't have money to waste on random food items that happen to be delicious.
And sneaking candy, it's just lame how much theaters charge.
The other ones are just stupid lol... |

If you are creative, then easy 10 points! :) <3 best effort//answer gets 10 pts.? I have a journal. And I want to write incidents in && junk in it. I want to tell stories in it, but I want to put it in creatively. Any ideas? For instance, one story I told my friend and I printed out the chat and put it in. Any other ideas on how to make em creative? Or if I just write it in how do I make it more decorative? Also once every maybe couple pages I want to put something random. For example this time I put color samples I got from HOMEDEPOT!; =] Any other random facts or cool stuff to put in? (eg. candy wrappers, movie tickets, etc?)
Most creative answer gets 10 points! =]
Appreciate all answers please help! <3

It's in the hockey section because you used the & sign. It's a Yahoo bug.
Anyway, why not put pictures of NHL players in your journal? |

Fortunes from fortune cookies are fun additions.
Any especially pretty fallen leaves during fall (assuming you live far enough north) or flower petals.
Random single frames from the sunday comics that unto themselves don't necessarily mean anything.
Random horoscopes.
Take out/Delivery menus
Find an old beat up copy of your favorite book, tear out one of your favorite paragraphs/pages and put that in.
Film negatives after the pictures have been developed (assuming you can find someone who uses an "old" camera and not a digital) |
Please Help With These Questions? My math teacher gave us a study guide but no answers. Would you please help me so I make sure I have these problems correct? Thanks!
1. Every Tuesday, Mike's Videos has a "roll the dice" day. A customer may roll two fair die and rent a second video for an amount (in cents) determined by the sum of the numbers showing on the dice. Let the random variable X represent the amount, in cents, paid for a second movie on Tuesdays. Determine the probability distribution for the random variable X.
2. Publishers Clearing House conducts a sweepstakes that gives cash prizes to entrants who complete a sweepstakes form and hopefully (for the company) buy magazines. The prizes and their probabilities of winning are given below:
$1,000,000 1 out of 136,000,000
$1,000 1 out of 220,000
$100 1 out of 35,000
What's the expected value of the sweepstakes entrant? Is it worth the cost of a postage stamp?
3. Results from the 2000 census show that 42% of US grandparents are primary caregivers for their grandguyren. In a group of 20 grandparents, what's the probability that exactly half are primary caregivers for their grandguyren?
4. Mars, Inc. claims that 14% of its M&M plain candies are yellow, and a sample of 100 candies is randomly selected. Find the mean and standard deviation for the number of yellow candies in such groups of 100.
5. A binomial variable has a mean of 200 and a standard deviation of 10. Find the values of n and p. |
1. Is going to be 1:combinations possible....that depends on sides of the dice, etc so you will have to figure that out
2. the expected value for the smallest prize is $0.00003 so no
the expected value for the middle prize is $0.005 so no again
the expected value for the biggest prize is $0.007 so no again
so the final answer is no it isn't worth the price of the stamp because all values are less than the stamp
3. none if i am reading the question carefully because if the chances are 42% over all then the chances in a group should only be 42% as well, not 50%
4. mean 14 candies should be yellow of 100....not sure about the deviation part
5. idk this one either, sorry
hope this helps some |
