How do you clear up razor bumps near the bikini line? I shaved my bikini line and now I have razor bumps how do I get rid of them? |
| Do NOT shave against the grain of your hair! That is going to give you way more problems. To help clear them up, use a warm compress on them whenever you can. That will keep the pores and hair follicles open so the hairs don't get trapped under your skin and cause ingrowns. In my opinion, waxing is way better than shaving for the bikini area. I always got HORRIBLE razor bumps and ingrowns when I used to shave. The hair in that area is more coarse than other parts of your body, and when you shave you cut it off in the middle, so when it grows back in, it can be harder for it to get through the skin like it is supposed to. When you wax, it pulls the entire hair out by the root, and when it grows back in, it grows in from the more tapered end first, and helps it get through. If you can afford waxing, I recommend it, and I think most women would. |

| Models tend to be very airbrushed, or else some people bleach the skin around that area to lighten it |
How long does your skin stay clear of stubble after a bikini wax? And if I get bumps or irritation how long do they last? |
| If it's your 1st time it could appear in a week or 2. The more you do it the more damage it does to your hair follicles and the less likely it is to grow back. |

How to have a beautiful bikini area? My skin is darker around my bikini area, and everytime I shave, the razor bumps makes it look even worse, as a lady that takes care of her body, I should know this, but I don't. I would love to take some bikini shots, but is ashamed of that area. I know this is personal, but forget that, I'm tired and fed up. Someone out there please help, I see these beautiful women out there with there clear bikini areas, example, Tela Taquila if you know what I mean. |
Waxing is great, it hurts the first time the worst but it is worth it. Make sure you get it done professionally and don't try it yourself- ouch.
Upkeep is every 3-4 weeks. Definately look into it, you won't be disappointed. |
How can african american clear up razor bumps on bikini zone area? what creams or oils help besides cocoa butter. or how should they start shaving, or what razors should be used? is waxing better?? |
You need an astringent not creams or oil.
If you have blisters, it is a sign of ingrown hair and you must get the hair out. Try gentle exfoliation first. If that doesn't work, you'll have to use sterilized tweezers or a needle to lift the hair out. Trying to pull or scrub the hair out is not a good idea as it could result in an infection, sore, and scar.
If there are simply bumps, redness, or swelling, apply tea tree oil or witch hazel to prevent infection and tighten pores. Then, apply aloe to reduce swelling and irritation.
Waxing vs. shaving? It is a personal choice. Your skin may be more sensitive to one than the other. Shaving is easy, cheap, and quick. However, with a good waxing, you can be hair free for up to 6 weeks. Unfortunately, there is the risk of bumps and ingrown hair with both methods.
If you decide to stick with shaving, to avoid razor bumps in the future,
1. Use only a sharp, clean razor. This means that you will only be able to use your razor a couple of times before tossing it.
2. Use a gentle shampoo (yes, shampoo) for sensitive skin as a shaving gel. Be sure that the area, skin and hair, is completely wet and lather on the shampoo. Shave only in the direction that the hair grows and use as few strokes as possible. Do not press down, use a light hand, and rinse the blade with each pass.
3. After you've toweled off, lightly dab the area with a cotton ball moistened with tea tree oil or witch hazel to prevent sensitivity. Top off with aloe vera gel to soothe and moisturize the skin.
Good luck! |
Does wearing a bikini help clear headaches? Just wondering? |
| For men, wearing a bikini will probably not help clear headaches. Watching women wearing bikinis may help clear a headache, although i don't know of any studies confirming this. |
